Coffee of the week - #12-16

Supreme Roastworks is one of your favorites and why you even subscribe to our service we are often told. This year they have had a good stream of new coffees coming into the roastery, which always makes it exciting heading down to the cafe, or opening a new bag of fresh roasted coffee. 

This week's main coffee comes from Suaza in the Huila region of Colombia. The farmer Anibal Rodriguez has a small farm where he has a coffee growing area of around 1 acre. His main focus is to improve infrastructure and processing at the farm, he believes that quality comes before quantity. This is what specialty coffee is all about, the farmer gets better paid for quality, and through direct trade less is spent on middle men and warehousing. 

 

We find the coffee very delicate with a full and sweet mouthfeel, balanced acidity. Look for hints of raspberries. It works well on most brewing methods from Aeropress to espresso.
