Coffee of the week - #04-17

February 20, 2017

Supreme Roastworks roasts to perfection.

We know for sure that many of you appreciate our services solely because you can get hold of beans from Supreme Roastworks. Last week they once again won the Norwegian Brewers Cup. In your mailbox you've got a bag of washed caturra from the Huila region, Colombia. The Huila region was struck by terrible weather conditions in 2016 and most farmers struggle just to break even from their crops.

In August 2016 Nordic Approach held a competition that Nemesio Ramos won, and you are now drinking his coffee. This is part to give farmers an incentive to make sure they pay attention to processing and growing of their coffee. The winner got paid 3x the market price for Colombian coffee. This is why we appreciate direct trade and why you pay a little extra for quality coffee.

In the cup you will fin a floral tasting coffee with a full mouthfeel. An Aeropress does to the job to perfection.

Despite the fact that we sometimes ship you coffee branded with espresso doesn't mean you can't brew it with a V60 or an earopress. We do our best to serve you all what you like the most, but also to make you try different coffees and maybe get some new experiences. The second coffee is a Brazilian coffee, pulped natural, that gives you a great tasting cup on the V60, espresso machine or even your fully automatic integrated machine.
